Co-curricular activities are an important part in forming a child’s personality and character. Recognizing the importance of the same, we at SSVP, have dedicated an expansive area for recognizing and mentoring our students in the areas of Art and Craft, Dance and Music, Performing Arts and Sports.

Sports is an important part of a growing child’s emotional and physical development. Our campus is well-equipped with several sports facilities – both indoor and outdoor. For indoor sports, we train our students in chess, table tennis and yoga. We pride ourselves in our state-of-the-art arenas and courts for football, volleyball, cricket and badminton.

This academy forms an essential part in enhancing the overall learning experiences for our students. Research shows that performing arts, especially dance and music help develop and stimulate brain functions. We let our students create their own success stories through their inherent talents. We train our students in different styles of dance and genres of music, developing a multi-pronged approach for both forms of art in partnership with several reputed dance and music academies. Drama, as an art form, helps the students to think, create and express in a better way. Through it, we effectively encourage creative and divergent thinking, problem-solving abilities as well as social & interpersonal communication skills in our students. Our students are also given the opportunity to display their talents in several platforms.

Co-curricular activities take what students are learning in the classroom and builds upon that through talent shows, performances, competitions, clubs and additional classroom work. Examples of our co-curricular activities include:

These activities encourage our students to delve deeper into activities and subject areas that they are passionate about. Inculcating a sensitive attitude towards the needy and working towards their upliftment is an important part of growing as an individual. Our students and faculties are involved in community service from the very beginning both within the city as well as in a rural environment. This aspect of our program fosters a sense of compassion and empathy among the little ones as well as keeps them grounded to their roots.

Student-led clubs and activities give students the opportunity to become better informed about and engaged in issues and possible career paths. In addition to our academic programs, we offer an extensive array of extra-curricular activities with an assortment of clubs like science club, eco-club and social responsibility services among others.

Scouting is an educational movement based on open-air games. Scouts and Guides learn through play way methods, which bring integral development in a child. They become good leaders as well as good followers and true citizens of the country. They ever remain physically fit and mentally alert and morally upright. They become self-reliant and face the challenges of life confidently with the motto ‘Be prepared’ and ‘Service to others’.
The Scouts and Guides regime was introduced in SSVP School in the year 2000. Interested Students from class VI onwards are enrolled as Scouts and Guides.

An annual excursion is organized for students for every academic session. Further, the school organizes planned visits to various places to enrich the students and to take learning beyond the four walls of the classroom.
Travel expands your horizons and school life cannot be complete without the fun of educational tours and excursions. These trips are tailor made to facilitate the students to know and understand the real, multicultural world. A host of activities are undertaken as a part of trips which act as a catalyst to think out of the box and broaden the outlook. The school discreetly organizes educational trips to strategically and historically important places and facilitates for students to reach out for information beyond the textbooks.
These trips are meticulously planned to add fun and enthusiasm during vacation period. These trips also extend a much needed break from the hectic daily schedule and an opportunity for facilitators and learners to bond with each other.
